The Government of the Virgin Islands through the Ministry of Health and Social Development has signed a contract with E & K Trucking and Construction Services in the amount of $202,939.79 for the construction of a new social home in Purcell Estate as part of the Housing Recovery Assistance Programme. 

Present at the brief contract signing ceremony was the Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Andrew A. Fahie, Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Carvin Malone, District 6 Representative Honourable Alvera Maduro-Caines, Contractor Mr. Enos Aaron and homeowner Ms. Evelyn Connor.

The Housing Recovery Assistance Programme was implemented after hurricanes Irma and Maria to assist homeowners to repair and rebuild their homes.
