Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Ronnie W. Skelton entertains a courtesy visit by Minister of Education, Employment and Gender Affairs of the Cayman Islands Government, Honourable Tara Rivers, JP, MLA on July 30, 2015.

During the visit, the Minister along with Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Health and Social Development, Mrs. Petrona Davies, discussed the way forward to promote gender equality and addressed equity issues that affect both Territories.

Honourable Rivers’ visit to the Territory is part of the 40^th Conference of the Caribbean, the Americas and the Atlantic Region of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) that began on July 24 to August 1. The conference is providing a forum for parliamentarians to come together to promote knowledge and discuss legislative, economic, social and cultural aspects of Parliamentary democracy specific to Commonwealth countries in the region.
