BVI FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS INVITED TO SOLUTIONS FORUM SLATED FOR JUNE 27

Tortola, June 23, 2023: The Deputy Premier and Minister for Financial Services, Labour and Trade, the Honourable Lorna Smith, OBE, cordially invites financial services professionals to join and actively participate in the upcoming Financial Services Solutions Forum.

This transformative event will take place on Tuesday, 27th June 2023 at the International Arbitration Centre from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The Financial Services Solutions Forum seeks to provide a platform for industry leaders to engage in transformative discussions and collaborative endeavours, with the ultimate goal of shaping the future of the BVI's financial services industry. Participants will have the invaluable opportunity to share their expertise, engage in fruitful exchanges of ideas, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.

The forum will commence with a presentation and discussion on the mandate of the new Ministry of Financial Services, Trade and Labour. The Honourable Lorna Smith, OBE, will share the Government's vision and plans to support the BVI's International Business and Finance Centre, setting the stage for direct discussions on how best to craft solutions that support the Centre's success.

Two panel discussions will be held, facilitating a productive dialogue on current challenges and opportunities; and anticipating the future of the industry. Key topics to be addressed include ease of doing business, investment and trade promotion, infrastructure, industry consultation, international regulatory matters, upcoming trade missions, creating a viable business centre, and developing a strategic vision for the industry.
