Staff, clients, parents, friends and supporters of the BVI Autism Centre celebrated the institution’s 5^th year anniversary with a church service at the New Life Baptist Church on October 29. During the ceremony Programme Director, Lorna Dawson made a presentation to client Kayla Powell who recently became a part of the Ministry of Education's Youth Employment Services Apprenticeship Programme. Ms. Powell has worked alongside staff from the Autism Centre as they provided services to clients in pre-schools and will work as a programme aide apprentice in the newly established Therapeutic Kindergarten Programme. She has also developed her skills and has volunteered at the New Life Day Care & Learning Centre.
