A book of powerful biblical declarations said to be crafted for real-life situations will be launched on Wednesday, May 3.

The book, titled ‘Hmm…Food For Thought, A Year of Devotion and Sustenance’ is penned by Eastern Central District Superintendent of the Apostolic Faith Church, Rev. Michael U. Anthony.

The book will be launched through the collaborative efforts of Rev. Anthony and the Department of Culture as the department continues to promote Literary Arts in the Virgin Islands.

Rev. Michael Anthony said that the book contains steadfast assertions of many powerful declarations that point an individual to the courage and endurance they may need to gain when walking daily in the scriptures.

He said, “In reading this book, don’t expect to find an instant fix for your struggles. Instead, spend time pondering the mystery of faith. Delve into the riches of eternal life and wonder at the beauty found even in life’s valleys.”

Director of the Department of Culture, Mrs. Luce Hodge-Smith said, “The book, ‘Hmm… Food for Thought’ is just as the title suggests. It ropes you in and provides you with a mental stimulus for thinking. The department wishes to congratulate and encourage Rev. Anthony to keep writing and wishes him well on this endeavor.”

Mrs. Hodge-Smith added, “The Department of Culture is always pleased to assist local authors with their book launch ceremonies and Rev. Anthony is no exception to the rule.”

The official book launch ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 3 at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room at Maria’s By the Sea Hotel.

Persons are encouraged to attend and support the book’s launch as the Department of Culture continues to support local authors and develop the Virgin Islands’ cultural heritage and traditions.
