The Virgin Islands Studies Institute at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College and the Department of Culture are inviting the public to the book launch ceremony for 150 Years of Achievement 1834-1984 on Friday, January 29 in the Breezeway of the Central Administration Complex at noon.

The book, which was was first published in 1984 and is now revised and compiled in 2015 by Mrs. Eileene L. Parsons and Mrs. Jennie Wheatley, highlights Virgin Islands’ people through their historical and cultural experiences.

Persons are encouraged to attend and support the book’s launch as the Department of Culture continues to effectively promote literary works by supporting authors and developing the Virgin Islands’ cultural heritage and traditions.
