The Department of Waste Management is inviting competitive sealed bids from qualified companies to maintain the Anegada Dumpsite for a period of ten months.

Director of Waste Management, Mr. Marcus Solomon said the scope of works include compaction of the garbage at least three times per month and covering the garbage with soil or alternative landfill cover at least twice per month.

Mr. Solomon   said, “The dumpsite receives approximately 50 to 60 tons of waste per day. The population of Anegada is approximately 350 persons, but it has a booming tourist trade, with tens of thousands of visitors passing through it annually, mostly sailing on yachts.”

Interested companies are invited to submit bids in a sealed envelope with the name of the company and reference “Maintaining Anegada Dumpsite” with the following documents enclosed.

  • Quotation for work.
  • Certificate of good standing from Inland Revenue Department, Social Security Board and National Health Insurance
  •  Valid Trade License 2024
  • A detailed resume’ outlining work experience of projects of a similar nature
  • Dumpsite maintenance methodology for Anegada dumpsite
  • Photos and information on the proposed equipment

The bids will be evaluated based on price, type and quality of the equipment, company experience and work methodology.

All documents must be included for consideration and hand delivered to the Department of Waste Management, located on the second floor of the Property Union Building adjacent to Happy Lion Restaurant no later than 4:00 p.m. on March 5.
