The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries announces Khalid Lewis as the winner of the Slogan Competition of the 2024 Agriculture and Fisheries Exhibition and Market Day. The winning slogan was chosen from among 32 entries submitted by 15 persons.

The winning slogan, “Sow the Seeds of Sustainability: Youth Fueling Food Security”, emphasises the importance of involving and providing for the youth in the food industry.

Mr. Lewis is featured with Mr. Theodore E James, Director of Agriculture and Fisheries. He received the winning prize of a one-night stay and breakfast for two, compliments of Scrub Island Resort and Marina. The slogan competition was launched in October 2023, with the criteria that the slogan did not exceed ten (10) words, incorporating food security, sustainability, and youth.

The slogan competition marked the beginning of the preparations for the upcoming event.
