Driver's License Theory Examination

  • The first phase of the Driver’s License Test consists of a theory examination. Applicants are tested on their knowledge as it relates to the rules and regulations of the Road Traffic Act, Amendment and Regulations. 

 

Process

Applicant must be 18 years or older.

  • Report to the Department of Motor Vehicle and make a request with the relevant officer to take the Written Test. 
  • They must first register in person at the department using their valid passport and NHI card to use the online booking services. They must have a valid email address also and would be given a password to start the process. They would then proceed to do the written test. Upon passing, a written test certificate is issued.  If unsuccessful, the test can be repeated at a later date, but not on the same day.

Additional Notes

  • If the applicant is taking the test on either the computer or the physical answer sheet, they must provide their name, address, phone number, etc.
  • In the event that the applicant is unsuccessful, they can return the following business day to retake the test.
