Letters and parcels being sent through the Universal Postal Union (UPU) network. 

Step 1:  Customer submits package to be mailed to the Cashier.

Step 2:  The package is opened in the customer’s presence to examine its contents for illegal substances.

Step 3:  If the contents are NOT illegal, continue to Step 4. If the contents are illegal, the appropriate Government Office (Police, Environmental Health Division, or Conservations & Fisheries Department) is contacted to collect it and the transaction ends.

Step 4:  The package is sealed, weighed and a Declaration Form is filled-out.

Step 5:  If the package is NOT being sent as Registered Mail, continue to Step 6. If it is being sent as Registered Mail, the Registered Mail form is filled-out.

Step 6:  The fee is collected from the customer and a receipt with the required stamps to be affixed to the package are given.

Step 7:  Once the stamps are affixed, the package is then taken from the customer.
