Step 1: Review the Gazette Publication Schedule and take note of the submission deadlines.
Step 2: Prepare your Notice. You can use any of the three common types of Notice templates that have
been developed by the Virgin Islands Official Gazette office.
Step 3: Submit Notice to be published in the Official Gazette, whether in person or on-line at
a. Specify a contact name and a phone number in the event that there is a question about
the Notice.
b. All addresses should be complete and include the country where you are located.
c. All Notices should be signed and dated.
d. Text in the Notices must be free of grammatical and spelling errors.
Step 4: Prepare an appropriate cover letter to accompany the Notice.
Step 5: Prepare payment.
Step 6: Submit together the Notice, cover letter and payment to the Virgin Islands Official Gazette, c/o
Cabinet Office.
Step 7: Once payment is received, a receipt will be issued.
Step 8: Notice is logged and the publication issue is determined.
Step 9: Notice is prepared using established guidelines for print and electronic publications.
Step 10: Gazette is published in both print and electronic formats. (Requests can be made for either an
electronic or print version, or both)
