The public is advised that due to the current weather advisories, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will be providing limited services on Today, Wednesday, May 8.

Due to severe flooding and erosion, the roadway between North Sound and Valley on the island of Virgin Gorda is currently in a hazardous condition.  The public and motorists are advised to avoid this area until further notice.

The public is advised that due to the ongoing inclement weather, Government Offices will offer reduced services today, 8^th May, 2024.

The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) is notifying the public that examinations that were scheduled for today, Wednesday, 8th May have been cancelled due to inclement weather conditions.

The public is urged to stay off the roads until showers subside, which forecasters expect will be a little later today.

The Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports is notifying the public that all public schools will be closed today, Wednesday 8th May due to adverse weather conditions and the forecasted continuation of the same.

The public and motorist are advised that a portion of James Walter Francis Drive in the vicinity of the port at Port Purcell to the open area by the Sugar Works Museum on Station Avenue will be temporarily interrupted on Monday, May 6 from 7:00 p.m. to Tuesday, May 7 at 2:00 a.m.

The public is reminded of the launch of the book titled, "A Snapshot of The Virgin Islands Secondary School Under Principal Carlisle Scott " edited by Medita Malone Wheatley on Monday May 6, at 5:00 p.m. 

The public is advised that a portion of James Walter Francis Drive in the vicinity of Port Purcell to the Sugar Works Museum on Station Avenue will be temporarily interrupted on Saturday, May 4 from 7:00 p.m. to Sunday, May 5 at 2:00 a.m.
