The public is invited to attend and participate in this week’s community meetings, which are part of a series of Government-led meetings to discuss reform.

The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) encourages all Virgin Islands residents to view and become familiar with the 2022 Land Based Emergency Shelter List.

The Government of the Virgin Islands invites residents to tonight’s community meeting to discuss government reform at The Stickit, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The public is advised that a portion of Main Street Road, in the vicinity of Marilyn Harvey’s residence opposite Herbal Haven will be closed on Saturday, July 16 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. to facilitate concrete pouring works. 

The public is advised that a portion of Jolly Roger Road, on Virgin Gorda in the vicinity of the Faulkner’s residence will be closed on Saturday, July 16 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. to facilitate works on the property. 

The public is advised that a portion of Main Street Road in the vicinity of the intersection of Flemming Street and Main Street at (E.A. Creque) to the foot of Joe’s Hill Road at the (Methodist Burial Ground) will be closed from Saturday, July 16, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27. 

All employers operating on the Festival Grounds during the upcoming VI Emancipation Festival are reminded that they are to apply for and obtain a work permit for any non-Belonger/non-BVIslander they may wish to employ. 

The public is reminded to review the checklist when submitting work permit applications to the Department of Labour and Workforce Development. Persons are also asked to submit all the required documents that are stated on the list.

The public is notified that the portion of North Road in the vicinity of Tameka’s Beauty Salon to the entrance of Lee Road, will be partially closed on Sunday, July 17

The public is notified that the Road Town and Virgin Gorda offices of the Magistrate’s Court will close on Friday, July 22 and Monday, July 25 to facilitate the training of officers.
