Parents of students in the public school system who utilise the Virgin Islands Digital eBook/Textbook (VIDE) are asked to note the following procedures for returning the devices to the Ministry of Education.
The public is notified that officers from the Ministry of Education Accounts and ICT units will be visiting Virgin Gorda on Wednesday, August 25 to Friday, August 27 to collect all Chromebook and laptop loaned for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school year from all public schools on the island (Robinson O'Neal, Bregado Flax Primary and Bregado Flax Secondary)
Parents and students on Anegada are notified that officials from the Ministry of Education’s Accounts and ICT units will be visiting the Sister Island on Friday, September 3 to collect all Chromebooks and laptops loaned to students for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years.
Devices will be collected at the Claudia Creque Educational Centre from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Payment and distribution of digital textbooks and Chromebook/Laptop loans for 2021-2022 school year will also be done on that day.
Businesses and persons are notified that payments can now be made at the Inland Revenue Department for applications made to the Magistrate’s Court for the renewal of liquor licences during the June 1 sitting.
The public is notified that the left lane of DeCastro Street in the vicinity of the Omar Hodge Building in Road Town will be temporarily closed on Saturday, August 14 and Sunday, August 15 daily from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Parents and guardians of students in the public school system are being reminded that all public schools except for Elmore Stoutt High School will reopen for face-to-face learning on Monday September 6.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting the public to a virtual public meeting on Tuesday, August 17 at 7:15 p.m. live on its Facebook Page to discuss the National Sustainable Development Plan.
The public is reminded that appointments are to be made before visiting the offices of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the E.A Creque Building on Upper Main Street, and on the 3rd Floor of Ward’s Building.
