The Ministry of Education and Culture is informing parents and guardians of children who are BVIslanders or Belongers, and who are entering the public school system for the first time, that the registration period for the 2015/2016 school year ends on Tuesday, June 16.

Administrators at the Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies are inviting Grade 9 parents and students on Virgin Gorda to attend the presentation and pre-registration session at the Bregado Flax Educational Centre on Friday, June 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies will be holding their Parent Teachers Association Meeting on Tuesday, June 16, at 4:30 p.m. on the school grounds.

The Telecommunication Regulatory Commission has extended the deadline for its video competition to June 19.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is informing the public that effective Monday, June 1, the Virgin Islands Shipping Registry office has re-located to the third floor of the Cutlass Building on Wickhams Cay 1 in Road Town. 

The Building Inspections Unit in conjunction with the Building Authority will be introducing a new permit application form on June 10 to expedite the application process for building permits. It will allow applicants to fill out one form instead of the required two forms.

The Immigration Department  is advising the community of Virgin Gorda that Acting Chief Immigration Officer, Mr. Ian Penn will hold office hours on the last Wednesday of each month at the Virgin Gorda Administration Complex, Vanterpool Building. These visits will commence on June 24.

The public is informed that the revised voters list is available online at www.bvi.gov.vg.  Locate the Government tab on the left side of the screen. A drop down list will appear. Scroll down to the Elections tab and select the 2015 Revised Voter’s List.

The Magistrate’s Court is hereby informing the public that all court cases scheduled for June 8 at all locations will be administratively adjourned to facilitate the holding of General Elections.
