Remove Containers And Materials From Festival Grounds

Persons with containers, equipment and materials situated on the Festival Grounds are being advised to have them removed.

This notice is to be treated with the highest priority as the Festival Grounds has been booked from December 24 to March 31. Failure to remove will result in removal at the cost to owner.

Persons with containers, equipment and materials situated next to the Queen Elizabeth Park across from the Governor’s House are being advised to have them removed by 12:00 noon Friday, December 31.

This notice is to be treated with the highest priority as failure to meet deadline will result in their removal at cost to the owners.

James Walter Francis Drive Closed December 31 And January 2

The public is notified that the West-bound lane of James Walter Francis Drive, from the Botanic Station Traffic Light (Red Cross) to the roundabout in Road Town will be temporarily closed on Friday, December 31 from 9:00 p.m. to Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 1:30 a.m. The road closure resumes on Sunday, January 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The purpose for the closure is to facilitate Old Years and Sunday Morning Service on the Festival Grounds.

Any inconvenience caused is regretted.

Education Ministry To Provide Remote Service Until Friday December 31

The public is advised that the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture will be providing remote services only from Wednesday, December 29 to Friday, December 31. Physical operations will resume on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

The public and tourism partners are notified of the cancellation of the calls of Queen Mary, Queen Victoria, and Wind Surf due to rising numbers of COVID-19 cases aboard these vessels.  Cruise ships are part of a mandatory reporting system which include the US Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), and regional ministries of health.
