The RDA now invites tenders from eligible and qualified Tenderers for the repair works to the RVIPF Marine Base fencing, gates and drains located at Road Reef Marina, Tortola.

This procurement will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) process.

Tenders Invited For Construction Of Huntum’s Ghut Economic Zone

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting tenders for the Construction of the Huntum’s Ghut Economic Zone Commercial Buildings on Tortola, Virgin Islands.

Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said proposed works include ensuring that the metal buildings are the most cost-effective and operationally efficient as possible to meet the project needs; providing all plant, labour, equipment, materials and tools essential to complete the project, as well as maintaining a clean job site, including regular removal of waste throughout the construction phase and thorough cleanup of the site upon completing the project.

Mrs. Rhymer added that the successful tender will have to ensure safe practices are in place for employees at all times; and supervise the construction site to ensure that the building erection and all related construction is being carried out according to the drawing supplied as per the construction schedule.

Eligible tenderers are required to submit Certificates of Good Standing from the Director of the Social Security Board, National Health Insurance, the Commissioner of Inland Revenue, the Commercial Registry and other entity as outlined in the Tender Document.  Tenderers must also provide a Tender Security, not less than 1% of their bid price.

The Procurement Coordinator said, “Bidding documents will be available from Monday, January 18 and would be sent to bidders electronically upon request to procurement@gov.vg with the subject title “Construction of the Huntum’s Ghut Economic Zone Commercial Buildings.” 

Interested tenderers should submit one (1) original and three (3) copies, plus one (1) flash drive containing the bidders’ documents. The original should be placed in a sealed envelope and marked “ORIGINAL” and the additional copies placed in another sealed envelope and marked “COPIES”.  Both envelopes should then be placed in an outer envelope and marked “Tender for the Huntum’s Ghut Economic Zone Commercial Buildings and must be received no later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 9 addressed to:

A virtual Pre-Tender Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 11 at 10:00 a.m.  All prospective tenderers will be notified of the access code and password prior to the meeting.  This will be followed by a site visit and all prospective tenderers are invited to attend.

Tenders will be opened at the Procurement Unit, Ministry of Finance, Qwomar Trading Building #2, 2nd Floor at 12:00 noon on, Tuesday, March 9.  All prospective Tenderers are invited to witness the process via “Webex” and will be provided with the access code and password prior to the opening of the bids.
