Bids Invited For Redevelopment Of Bregado Flax Educational Centre

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting bids for redevelopment of the Bregado Flax Educational Centre on Virgin Gorda.  

Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said that the works consist of rehabilitation and reconstruction works to the building concrete frame and reinforced blocks wall with the replacement of damaged roof sections, rehabilitation of carpentry, floor, walls and ceilings finishes and fixtures, rehabilitation of plumbing fixtures and fittings, electrical systems and mechanical works.

Mrs. Rhymer said that all firms or joint ventures which are legally incorporated or have principle place of business in a CDB member country are eligible to apply.

Tenderers are required to adhere to all qualifications outlined in the Tender Notice 19 of 2019.

Bid documents are currently available week days between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and will be made available electronically from the Ministry of Finance upon email request to procurement@gov.vg with the subject title respectively.  

Pre-tender meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, October 30 at 10:00 a.m.  at the Bregado Flax Educational Centre, Primary Divison, Virgin Gorda. 

Four hard copies and one flash drive of the bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes with the name and address of the bidder and clearly marked, “School Redevelopment-Bregado Flax Educational Centre” and must be received no later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 10.

All tenderers are invited to attend the bid opening on Tuesday, December 10 at the Ministry of Finance Procurement Unit, Quomar Trading Building #2, 2nd Floor, Blackburn Road at 11:00 a.m.

Bids Invited For The Reconstruction Of Virgin Gorda Administration Buildings

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting bids for rehabilitation and reconstruction works for the Flax and Vanterpool Administration Buildings on Virgin Gorda.  

Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said that the works for the Flax Administration Building consist of rehabilitation and reconstruction of the building’s concrete frame and reinforced block walls, and the construction of a new truss timber roof with metal sheeting.

Mrs. Rhymer added that the works include the replacement of all carpentry, interior finishes, plumbing fires and fittings, electrical systems and some mechanical works.  

Additionally, Mrs. Rhymer said that works for the Vanterpool Administration Building consist of building the concrete frame and reinforced block walls. Also, the rehabilitation of timber rafters roof with metal sheets and the replacement of roofs over the exterior stairwells.

Other works on the building include the rehabilitation and partial replacement of carpentry, improvements to all finished floors, walls and ceilings; rehabilitation of some plumbing fixtures, electrical lights and components and some mechanical systems, in addition to the construction of a water cistern.  

Mrs. Rhymer further stated that all firms which are legally incorporated or have principle place of business in a CDB member country are eligible to apply.

Bid documents are currently available week days between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Bidding documents will be made available electronically from the Ministry of Finance upon email request to procurement@gov.vg with the subject title respectively.  

Pre-tender meetings are scheduled for Friday, October 18 at 10:30 a.m.  and 11:00 a.m. at the Vanterpool Administration Building, Conference Room #1, Virgin Gorda to discuss both projects respectively.

All tenderers are invited to attend the bid opening on Tuesday, November 19 at the Ministry of Finance Procurement Unit, Quomar Trading Building #2, 2nd Floor, Blackburn Road at 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon respectively

Mrs. Rhymer added that the works also include rehabilitation of carpentry, floor walls and ceiling finishes and fixtures, rehabilitation of plumbing fixtures and fitting, electrical systems and mechanical works.

Tenders Invited For The Installation Of Impact Resistant Windows, Doors And Frames

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting all qualified and interested firms to submit tenders for the procurement, replacement and installation of impact resistant windows, doors and frames at the Central Administration Complex (CAC).

The works consist of furnishing all plant, labour, equipment and materials and performing all operations in connection with the procurement, replacement and installation of these furnishings.

Interested persons are required to furnish their application with Certificates of Good Standing in respect of Social Security, National Health Insurance and Income Tax including payroll taxes from the Director of Social Security Board, the Director of the National Health Insurance; and the Commissioner of Inland Revenue and Trade License (valid for 2019) (if Partnership or Sole Proprietorship).

Tenderers registered as companies in the British Virgin Islands are required to produce Certificates of Good Standing from the Commercial Registry.  The date issued indicated on the above mentioned certificates should be no earlier than one month prior to the date of submission.

Failure on the part of tenderers to enclose the supporting documentation indicated above with each respective tender will render the tender non-responsive on the date of opening of bidsThe bidder shall furnish an original Bid Security in the amount of 1% of the bidder’s total price; non-submission of Bid Security will lead to rejection of proposal. 

Bidding documents will be made available electronically upon request to procurement@gov.vg with the subject title “Request for Proposal for the Procurement and Installation of Impact Resistant Windows, Doors & Frames in the Central Administration Complex” with effect from Monday, September 16 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
