Background:

The water supply within the British Virgin Islands (BVI) has been a challenging resource to manage for a considerable period of time. For years the Water and Sewage department has run at a deficit, with Government subsidizing the production of water. Metering and demand management are not well developed which results in a reactive response to water supply issues. The primary objective of this project is to conduct capacity development of local contractors and the Water and Sewage Department in improving leak detection and remediation within the BVI.
