Property owners in the Virgin Islands are notified that property Taxes for the year 2019 are due and payable on September 1.

Virgin Islands Financial Institutions (VIFIs) are notified that the filing deadline for US FATCA and Common Reporting Standards for the 2018 reporting financial year has been extended to Wednesday July 31.

The public is notified that the Inland Revenue department has been relocated to the 2nd floor of the Central Administration Complex on the East Wing.  

The Government of the Virgin Islands has announced that the Customs Duty exemption period has been extended until August 31 and September 30, for two categories of importers.   

Property owners can view the 2018 Property Tax Assessment online at www.bvi.gov.vg.

The Government of the Virgin Islands today outlines its action plan in response to a European Union (EU) initiative that seeks to address concerns that some countries are engaging in potentially harmful tax competition with EU member states. 

Property owners in the Virgin Islands are reminded that the deadline to pay the 2017 tax without incurring interest has been extended to Friday, March 30, 2018.

The Inland Revenue Department is in the process of making preliminary preparations of the 2018 Property Tax List, and is interested in determining the level of damages incurred to the buildings currently recorded.
