Individuals traveling with an Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) should utilise the same passport to depart and re-enter the Territory to avoid being inaccurately recorded.

124 British Overseas Territories Citizens are featured after reciting their Oath of Allegiance and Pledge of Loyalty across two ceremonies held at the Government House on July 11 and 13 respectively.

One hundred and twenty four persons are now British Overseas Territories Citizens (BOTC) of the Virgin Islands having taken the Oath of Allegiance and Pledge of Loyalty.
The new citizens were divided into two groups and processed at respective ceremonies held at the Government House. Congratulatory remarks were made by His Excellency the Governor John J. Rankin, CMG; Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Dr. Natalio D. Wheatley and Registrar General, Mrs. Tashi O’Flaherty-Maduro.

Registrar General, Mrs. Tashi O’Flaherty-Maduro has said that British Overseas Territories Citizens (BOTC) and/or British passports are still being processed following some delays as a result of the industrial strike in the United Kingdom from April 3 to May 5.

The public is notified that persons may experience some delays in the delivery of Belonger services as the Civil Registry and Passport Office is experiencing some challenges due to technical difficulties.

All travelers, including Belongers and children, travelling to the British Virgin Islands are notified that approval must first be granted to travel to the Territory without a valid passport.
