The Civil Registry & Passport Office is notifying the public of an additional citizenship pathway for adults who were excluded from obtaining citizenship as British Overseas Territory and British citizens, due to historical legislative unfairness in British nationality law.

Sixty Five (65) persons are now British Overseas Territories Citizens (BOTC) of the Virgin Islands, having taken the Oath of Allegiance and Pledge of Loyalty.

The public is reminded that the series of town hall meetings for “Granting Residence and Belonger Status” are scheduled to begin this evening 11th October, at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College at 6:30 p.m.
