The Civil Registry & Passport Office is notifying the public of an additional citizenship pathway for adults who were excluded from obtaining citizenship as British Overseas Territory and British citizens, due to historical legislative unfairness in British nationality law.

The public is advised that the Civil Registry and Passport Office will be offering limited services on February 1

Greetings to the people of the Virgin Islands.

Eleven (11) individuals are now registered as British Citizens after being previously naturalised as British Overseas Territories Citizens.

Sixty Five (65) persons are now British Overseas Territories Citizens (BOTC) of the Virgin Islands, having taken the Oath of Allegiance and Pledge of Loyalty.

The public is advised that the Civil Registry and Passport Office will be temporarily closed on 23rd November from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. to facilitate a staff development activity.

The public is notified that the survey based on granting Residence and Belonger status is scheduled to close tomorrow Wednesday, October 25.

The public is reminded that the series of town hall meetings for “Granting Residence and Belonger Status” are scheduled to begin this evening 11^th October, at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College at 6:30 p.m.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is seeking public input on the development of revised immigration policies.

The public is invited to participate in a survey based on the independent reviewer’s report on granting Residence and Belonger status.
