The Ministry of Health and Social development is recruiting two experienced Quantity Surveyors (QS) to provide support to the Housing Recovery Assistance Programme.
The Virgin Islands is expected to receive further assistance with the management of its records at a Disaster Response and Recovery Working Conference in St. Marteen.
The staff and residents of the Safe Haven Transitional Centre are now better prepared to handle disasters and emergencies following training in emergency readiness.
The BVI is said to be performing very well across the majority of the sectors, and its performance is exceedingly high in the area of recovery and response.
Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE has signed an agreement with Virella Crespo & Associates for the design of the new National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) which will also house the offices of the Department of Disaster Management (DDM).
