Mr. Speaker, imagine having to brave the waters and travel on a regular basis to Tortola from Virgin Gorda, stand in a long bank line to have transactions done, and sometimes return home without being successful.

Mr. Speaker, when we were in the midst of the campaign, we declared “every posse must work!”

His Excellency the Governor Augustus J. U. Jaspert chaired the first half of the Cabinet Meeting on 30th April, 2019 and the Premier and Minister of Finance chaired the meeting to conclusion. The Meeting was held at the Premier’s Conference Room, Central Administration Building

Today I recognise the start of Red Cross Week, an annual celebration of the BVI Red Cross and the work that they do in communities throughout the Territory.  

Ladies and gentlemen; Brothers and sisters; Patriots, all.  At this junction, in this juncture; and in this defining moment in our history, I am pleased to announce that as your government and as a government and its people, we are about to set aside a process that will seek to do right by all loyal residents of these beautiful British Virgin Islands.

During recent weeks, there has been a surge in the number of reported cases of measles worldwide but most notably in the United States of America.
