The Ministry of Education is exceptionally proud to announce the outstanding performance of students graduating from the Territory's public primary and secondary schools. We are delighted to recognise and celebrate the hard work, dedication, and excellence demonstrated by all our students exiting primary and secondary schools this year and bid them all a hearty congratulations.

Before I open the floor up to questions, I want to say a few words about the Asia Pacific mission we have just completed, along with our eleven private sector sponsors, our regulators and of course friends and colleagues based in the region. I want to especially thank our private sector who funded themselves to participate in the Mission and sponsored the events.

Madam Chair, Excellencies, I have made the journey here to New York under very challenging circumstances.

Greetings to all who call The Virgin Islands home. We are small islands dependent on nature-based tourism and vulnerable to the ravages of climate change.

In light of the flash flood warning and the water’s impact on Territory roads, it is crucial for persons to stay off the roads and remain indoors until conditions improve.
