Parents, school vendors and the community are encouraged to be fully engaged in the Healthy Lifestyle School Intervention Programme to ensure its success.
Training began for fifty apprentices on Monday, September 14, in the Ministry of Education and Culture’s Apprenticeship Programme. The second cohort of apprentices will be trained in a week-long workshop at the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports under the theme: “Developing Value for Job Opportunity.”
Members of the Territorial Search and Rescue Team (TSART) participated in an Incident Command Systems Training programme organised through the Department of Disaster Management (DDM).

A team of persons from the Ministries of Education and Culture and Health and Social Development will be conducting baseline data collection in primary schools from September 14 as Government prepares to launch the Healthy Lifestyle School Intervention programme.
District officers from the Sister Islands are participating in a one day course at the Department of Disaster Management aimed at building capacity in the area of emergency communications.
