Information Officer II
Department of Information and Public Relations (GIS)
All importers, brokers and agents are reminded that effective November 1 all clearance procedures for goods will be completed and submitted online using the Customs Automated Processing System (CAPS).
All persons are being asked to register with Her Majesty’s Customs to obtain a trader identification number, or to gain CAPS access as Customs stations in the Territory will no longer be accepting manual or paper trader declarations from Tuesday, November 1.
Importers, brokers and agents will be able to search for tariff rates, and preview customs declarations. They will also be allowed to upload supporting documents online and receive payment summaries via email.
Persons requiring CAPS training sessions should contact Assistant Commissioner of Customs, Mr. Gerald Fleming at 468-9716.
Persons requiring a CAPS registration form should contact the CAPS desk at 468-5705 or email email@example.com.
For more information on the use of CAPS, persons should contact Her Majesty’s Customs Department by telephone (284) 468-6801 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
