The Ministry of Communications and Works is informing the public that the Blackburn Highway in East End from the Methodist Church at Chapel Hill to the Beef Island Bridge will be partially closed from Saturday, December 6 to vehicular traffic. One lane will be opened to allow for traffic.
The purpose of this closure is to facilitate the rehabilitation of the road in that area. Motorists should exercise extreme caution when traversing the area and are also encouraged to seek alternative routes. Motorists should expect heavy traffic delays in the area.
The Ministry sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused during this time and thanks the public for their continued support as the government continues to improve the Territory’s roads.
