The Government of the Virgin Islands is accepting bids for supply of heavy equipment for use by the Department of Waste Management on Tortola.

Interested local, qualified, experienced companies are invited to submit tenders for the supply of one 20 Ton excavator, one 20 Ton dozer and one 20 Ton landfill compactor. Tenders may submit offers for one, two or all equipment.

Interested bidders must furnish the following documents

  • Quotation for work.
  • Certificate of good standing from Inland Revenue Department, Social Security Board and National Health Insurance.
  • Valid Trade License 2024.

Tender documents will be available from Monday, 29th April, 2024, on weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Documents will be sent to Tenderers electronically upon request to with the subject title Supply of Heavy Equipment for the Department of Waste Management.

A virtual pre-tender meeting via Webex is scheduled for on Thursday 16th May, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. The access code and password will be provided prior to the meeting. All prospective tenderers are invited to attend.

Interested tenderers should submit one (1) original, three (3) copies and one (1) flash drive containing the tenderer’s documents.  The original tender should be placed in a sealed envelope and marked “ORIGINAL” and the additional copies placed in another sealed envelope and marked “COPIES”.  Both envelopes should then be placed in an outer envelope and marked Supply of Heavy Equipment for the Department of Waste Management and addressed to:

All tenders must be deposited in the Tender Box at the Ministry of Finance (Procurement Unit)RFG Place, Second Floor, Road Town, Tortola, by the bearer not later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 4th June, 2024.  Tenders will not be received after the Tender Box is closed.

Tenders will be opened on Tuesday, 4th June, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ministry of Finance Conference Room, Rita Frett Georges Building, 3rd Floor, Waterfront Drive, Road Town, Tortola. Tenderers are invited to witness the opening via Webex. Tenderers will be provided with the access code and password prior to the opening of Tenders.
