Madam Speaker, I am pleased to report that Government is steadily advancing works under the Caribbean Development Bank CDB Loan Funded Projects, to rehabilitate the roads, drains and bridges infrastructure throughout the Territory.
In an effort to assist with enhancing the tourism product, the BVI Taxi and Livery Commission are partnering with the Aquila Group, to conduct an international certification programme designed to train tour guides in the cruise industry.
The Ministry of Communications and Works is informing the public that Parker Road, Road Town which runs between Josh Bakery and Little Denmark will be closed from Friday, February 6 from 8:00 a.m. to vehicular traffic.
The purpose of this road closure is to upgrade the drainage system, to relocate the utilities and to resurface the road in that area. Works are expected to last for a 27 day period.

The Public Works Department is informing the public that road and wall rehabilitative works will commence on Sugar Mill Road in Lower Estate on Monday, February 2 and are expected to be completed on Sunday, March 15. Works are scheduled from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
