The Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour is responsible for the effective management of the natural resources of the British Virgin Islands, as well as the keen regulation of the supply of labour in the Territory, ensuring that supply meets demand. These functions are carried out through the various departments and statutory bodies in the Ministry’s portfolio.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour envisions sound stewardship of our human and natural resources by implementing a legal framework that fosters environmentally-friendly management practices, and achieves fairness in the workplace for both employees and employers through vigorously upheld labour laws.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour endeavours to effectively manage and administer the natural resources of the Territory in a manner that ensures long term sustainability, and to ensure that the supply of labour is commensurate with the level of development in all sectors of the economy under working conditions which preserve the individuals' health, safety, and welfare.
