Closure Of Taddy Bay Airport Virgin Gorda

The BVI Airports Authority is informing the travelling public that the Taddy Bay Airport, Virgin Gorda, will be closed from Monday March 9 at 9:30 a.m. to Wednesday March 11, 2015 to facilitate restorative works on the runway strip.

Premier Smith To Hold Office Hours On Virgin Gorda

The Government of the Virgin Islands is advising residents of the Virgin Gorda community that Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE will hold office hours on Virgin Gorda on Thursday, March 5th, 2015 at the Vanterpool Administration Building.

Persons wishing to meet with Premier Smith can walk in from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Alternatively appointments can be made by telephoning 468- 2152, or by contacting the Virgin Gorda District Office.

Retaining Wall Project Commences At Russell Hill March 3

The Ministry of Communications and Works is advising the public that works  will commence on Tuesday, March 3 to construct a retaining wall in a portion of Russell Hill.  

The project is for a duration of approximately two months and includes scheduled concrete pours and demolition works.

The public is asked to traverse the area with extreme caution, and to consider using alternate routes during the construction works.

The ministry apologises for any inconvenience caused.
