The Ministry of Education and Culture is informing interested persons that funding is available through the Scholarship Trust Fund Board, which is specifically designed to assist persons in achieving higher education.
Applicants must be a resident in the Virgin Islands for a minimum of five years directly preceding the date of the application.
H.M. Customs Department and BVI Ports Authority would like to inform the public that the auction planned for April 17th, 2015 has been postponed until April 18th, 2015.
The Department of Agriculture is inviting members of the public to enter the Farmers’ Week 2016 theme competition. Entries should be inspired by and incorporate the following topics: sustainable development, increased agricultural production and climate change. The theme should not exceed twelve (12) words and the competition is open to all persons.

The Department of Trade and Consumer Affairs is asking the public to tune in to JTV channel 55 at 7:30 p.m. this evening to view a promotional programme which features the Business of the Month for the month of March.
Last month’s winner was F&M Halal Outlet which is owned by Mr. Musa Muhammad who operates a poultry farm in Paraquita Bay. Tonight’s programme will highlight the different aspects of his business as well as give an inside view of a successful local entrepreneur.

The Ministry of Communications and Works is notifying the public that the road in Parham Town in East End will be closed from tomorrow, April 1, for approximately 2 weeks.
The purpose of the road closure is to finalise the drainage rehabilitation works along the Parham Town corridor. Persons are asked to follow road signs in the area to be redirected accordingly.
The Ministry apologises for any inconvenience that may be caused during this time.

The Department of Culture and Virgin Islands Festivals and Fairs Committee are informing the public that the deadline for the submission of entries for the Festival 2015 theme and slogan competition has been extended until Friday, April 17.
Persons are reminded that the theme must focus on the historical and/or cultural heritage of the Virgin Islands and the slogan must include the words “Festival 2015.”
The administrators are advising parents and guardians of students attending the Elmore Stoutt High School that Easter break began Monday, March 30 and ends Friday, April 10.
