Community  Involvement:
Hon. Pickering’s community involvement began as a child by being active in his church and the Boy’s Brigade. He represented his school in Spelling Bees and general knowledge quizzes. Hon. Pickering was active in softball and basketball as a young man and has coached several teams from the East End/Long Look area. In 1986, Hon. Pickering became a founding member of the East End/Long Look Action Committee.
