Mister Speaker while there are many ongoing projects within the Ministry of Transportation, Works and Utilities, today I will like to highlight an issue of great concern of mine; Mister Speaker that is the huge outstanding bill that I met at the Ministry.

Mr. Speaker, in fulfillment of our commitment to keep the community informed and updated on COVID-19 developments, as reported, the Government of the Virgin Islands was officially informed on Saturday, 18 July that an airline passenger who travelled from the Territory to St. Vincent and the Grenadines through St. Lucia on Wednesday, 15 July was swabbed on arrival in St. Vincent and subsequently reported as positive for COVID-19.

Mister Speaker, thank you for permitting me to address this Honourable House to give an update on my statement made in the last sitting as it pertains to Work Permits.

 Mister Speaker, I am pleased to provide the following update relative to the unemployment / underemployment benefits.

Mr Speaker, I rise to provide an update on the work being done by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) as it relates to the enforcement of, and adherence to the Telecommunications Act 2006.

Mr. Speaker, I will now make a statement on the British Virgin Islands’ (BVI) Beneficial Ownership Secure Search System (BOSSs).

Mr. Speaker, I will now update this Honourable House on the BVI Financial Services Sector, moving forward together.

​Mr Speaker, over the past 16 months, as a Government, we have been committed to ‘Good Governance’ and I find it important to make this statement on renewable energy for Anegada.

Mr Speaker, like many our countries in the world the outbreak of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, has severely impacted the economy of the British Virgin Islands. 

It gives me great pleasure on behalf of Premier Honourable Andrew A. Fahie to bring remarks on this very important occasion as we continue as a Government to move the Territory forward in our economic response to various sectors of the economy of the Virgin Islands.
