Ladies and Gentlemen,

Ladies and Gentlemen Good Afternoon, it is with immense joy and a profound sense of accomplishment that I stand before you today as we celebrate the opening of the Jost Van Dyke Primary School. 

His Excellency, the Governor John, J. Rankin, CMG, chaired the meeting held on 7th December, 2023 at the Premier's Conference Room, Cutlass Tower.

It is noted that most Members of the Honourable House of Assembly were not in attendance at the Departure Ceremony for Governor John Rankin CMG.

It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences, on behalf of Members and Staff of the House of Assembly, on the recent passing of Former Legislator Carvin Malone.

On behalf of the Government and people of the Virgin Islands, myself and family, I express my profound sadness on the passing of our dear and beloved brother, Carvin Malone, who passed on Sunday morning, 14 January, 2024, and I extend condolences to his wife Pernis; his siblings, Jane, Meade, Guy, and Keith; his daughter, Kirsten, and his extended family.

My fellow Virgin Islanders, good afternoon. I come to you on a matter of the utmost urgency. 

A pleasant good afternoon to the Press Corps, persons listening online and via radio, and Virgin Islanders here at home and abroad.  Firstly, allow me to wish the people of the Virgin Islands a blessed and prosperous 2024.  May we as a people ask Our Most High God for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding as we navigate the tumultuous waters on this journey of nation building.

Today I have published my Fifth Quarterly Review of the implementation of the Commission of Inquiry recommendations.
