Exemption processing of Work Permit holders based on their school attendance in the Territory (Primary & Secondary) 

Process

Step 1: Customer submits the application form along with supporting documents to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour;

Step 2:  A response from the Ministry will be sent to the customer acknowledging receipt of application;

Step 3:  Upon approval of the application, the customer will be notified  by  a news release  that applications for work permit exemptions  submitted during a specific period are available and asked to contact the Ministry;

Step 4:  Successful applicants will be invited to  come into the Ministry;

Step 5:  Customer pays the applicable fees due and a  Government receipt is issued;

Step 6:  Payment is immediately reflected on account and the customer can collect their documentation.   They will also then be informed of the next required steps, which are:

  • Present the approval letter and Government issued receipt to the Labour Department, and an exemption card can be issued;
  • Visit the Immigration Department to have their passport stamped.

Supporting Documents

  • School Leaving Certificates (primary & secondary)
  • A current police certificate 
  • Two (current) passport sized photos
