After remarks from His Excellency the Governor, Mr. John J. Rankin and Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley, a 21 Gun salute was fired in honour of Queen Elizabeth II.
Minister for Natural Resources and Labour Honourable Melvin Turnbull, Acting Permanent Secretary Mr. Joseph Smith-Abbott and Reviewer Mr. David Abednego are featured as they held their first meeting in relation to the Commission of Inquiry’s Recommendation B30 on the disposal of Crown Lands.

Today was the final day of the UN Ocean Conference and it presented the opportunity for the Virgin Islands to join the discussion at the Global Island Partnership (GILSPA) Presentation. The event was titled: "Weathering Governance Uncertainty of Large-Scale Conservation Projects – A Leader Perspective to the Dialogue”.
The BVI Mediation Committee of the Supreme Court in conjunction with the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (ECSC) Regional Mediation Committee hosted a Refresher Mediation Training Seminar for court connected mediators in the Virgin Islands.
