Four women are featured as they received bouquets of flowers on International Women’s Day for their contribution to the field of technology in the Virgin Islands both in the public and private sectors.

March 8 is being celebrated as International Women’s Day under the theme “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality. 

Premier and Minister of Culture, Dr. the Honourable Natalio Wheatley, Junior Minister for Culture Honourable, Alvera Maduro-Caines, and the Director of Culture Dr. Katherine Smith are featured at public consultation meetings held on the Department of Culture’s policy and strategy. 

Deputy Premier and Minister for Communications and Works, Honourable Kye M. Rymer is featured as he welcomed the Chairperson and Managing Director for Toshiba Water Solutions Private Limited (India), Mr. Hiroaki Kobayashi on Monday, February 27.

Minister for the Overseas Territories, the Rt. Hon. Lord Goldsmith, His Excellency the Governor Mr. John Rankin CMG, Minister for Natural Resources and Labour, Honourable Melvin M. Turnbull, and Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mark Collins QPM, are featured on an environmental tour that continued on Anegada on Thursday February 2. The tour commenced at the Elizabeth Ann-Harris Memorial Marine Base where the delegation was given a brief tour of the coastline of Road Town, Tortola before transferring to Anegada.

Ms. Amy Ridgeway and Dr Eleonora Manca of the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) are featured with participants at day one of a two-day Marine habitat sensitivity and assessment workshop on Wednesday, February 1.
