Residents of the Virgin Islands are urged to go back to basics and reflect on the humble beginnings and old customs of its people as it observes the anniversary of the Territory’s First Chief Minister, Hamilton Lavity Stoutt.
Citizens and residents of the Virgin Islands, I am Myron V. Walwyn, Minister with responsibility for Education and Culture. It is indeed my pleasure to bring you this message as we set out to celebrate Virgin Islands’ Culture and Heritage Week, November 11th – 17th, 2018 under the theme: “Celebrate our Past, Inspire our Future.”
The Department of Culture in collaboration with the Regional Heritage Centre at Lancaster University invite the community to a cultural maritime display commencing Tuesday, November 6 to Friday, November 23 at the Multipurpose Sports Complex in Road Town from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday.
The public is notified of the debut of the Department of Culture’s programme, “This Is Culture”. In the first episode host Mrs. Luce Hodge Smith welcomes guest Jacque Grysole, President of Expansion Strategies Incorporated, located in Montreal, Canada.
